Fruits of Fall

Saskatoon berries to be made into Saskatoon syrup.  The berries were given to us by our lovely neighbours!

Fresh BC peaches made into lots and lots of jam!  YUM.

I've also been freezing beans, zucchini, and a few other jams and syrups.  What have you been preserving?

  1. We have done lots too!

-So many pickles, I bought 2$ worth of plants at the greenhouse and i have 13 quarts of pickes already and still counting (doesnt include the ones that went bad cause I ran out of jars, or the ones I gave away)

    - beans, yellow, green and purple (blanching and freezing)

    - Jam ( you pick blueberries, strawberries) we have blueberry jam, bluebarb jam, multiberry (rasberry, blackberry, strawberry) and rose petal jam (look it up, delicious)
We use pomonas pectin, if you dont look it up its the best stuff!!

    - cherries (you pick) , and saskatoon from our yard frozen for smoothies in winter

    - Canned whole romas, salsa and tomato sauce

    - Today we are dehydrating the rest of the tomatoes and making fruit leather, got a good recipe??

    - Peach jam, tomorrow hopefully?!

Oh and I blended up garden peas and froxe them in baby bullter freezer trays for my little ones first food!! (shes 5.5 so a couple weeks!)
