Ever since Ara was born I've been "collecting" hair clips for her. At first it was just the excitement of finally having a baby girl, and one that hair on top of that but now it's actually necessary to clip her hair out of her face. There are just too many amazing hair clip makers on etsy so I just keep buying more. I was getting kind of annoyed with digging through a small box to find the one I wanted so I decided to make a pretty hanging to store them all. I wanted something that was easy to make, and easy to take apart in case I want to change up the background fabric or the ribbon in the future. I really like what I came up with and thought I would share how I did it.
Here's what you need:
-A plain cork board. You could buy one with a frame, take it off, follow all these instructions and then put the frame back on at the end, but I decided to just use a rectangular piece of cork board
-flat style push pins
-a piece of fabric a few inches bigger than your piece of cork.
-ribbon. I used 2 pieces of thicker stuff for bigger clips and one piece of a thinner width ribbon for smaller clips
-Lay out the ribbons in the places you want them then pin them in place on the back of the cork board. Then add a ribbon to hang it from, pinning in the top two corners
Flip your board over, attach your hair clips, and hang it on the wall!
