Plum!

I've seen a lot of great purple things lately and I couldn't get the color out of my head so the last time I went to the fabric store I picked up some purple fabric with a leaf print and a really pretty satiny purple fabric.  I knew right away it would make a cute bag, especially with the two toned fabrics.  I picked out a couple of my favorite vintage buttons from my stash and sewed up some bags!  (both these bags are currently in my shop)

the button on this one is brass with a sort of lace work design on it.  I LOVE this button but knew at some point I would have to part with it...

the button on this one is a really pretty burgundy I thought it went nice with the jewel tones of the band of the bag.

On a totally unrelated note life has been really busy lately but good.  I finally managed to catch up on some sleep today due to a rare moment of all three kids sleeping at the same time.  I know I'll pay for it this evening when Kaed won't be able to sleep at his usually 7pm but I think it was worth it.  The rest of the day was dedicated to coloring with the kids, laundry (of course), and cleaning the house so I can relax at least until Monday when it will be a disaster again I'm sure!  I still love going into the weekend with a clean house though, it makes the whole weekend feel so much more relaxing.
