some zipper pouches and a new bag

I have been working on this bag for weeks. And I mean weeks! Nothing about it went smoothly and to be honest I'm extremely impressed I even finished it. I finally got it done yesterday and I didn't even want to look at it at first. I was so frustrated with all time it took and the ridiculous amounts of times I had to use my seam ripper, that I just didn't like it. This morning I looked at it again and had to admit it actually was kind of cute. You can get the tutorial at My Spare Time. I'm a huge fan of her blog but I really struggled with the tutorial, not sure why. Probably just me but I'll warn you, I didn't find the bag very easy to make at all.

Today I decided to try my hand at my very first zipper pouch. It was so fun! Seriously, I could probably sew these all day long. The first one I didn't get the zipper very good at all, but then again I've never done a zipper before so oh well! The second one went a lot better and I decided to add a little tag, which I put in upside down so I had to fix that. The third one turned out perfect. No problems at all and I LOVE it.

Zipper pouch attempt #1... I love it except the zipper is a little too exposed for my liking. I used fabric paint and a stamp to do the dandelion.

Zipper Pouch #2

And zipper pouch #3... nearly perfect!

I LOVE the zipper pouch! Those are so cute. They'd be great for make up bags and things like that. I love the dandelion stamp too.

The first bag looks great too! I like the inside pockets a lot - very cool. Nice job!

Oh my! These are great!

How awesome did that last pouch turn out with the scraps from that Amy Butler fabric! That totally has me going because i still have a piece of that too that I've been scheming about using to make a little case for my iPod. I love the fabric you paired it up with for the inside. Love love love.

I also like the first bag that you had so much trouble with...glad you stuck with it.
