Life has been busy! We recently got back from a week long trip to Herbert SK (where Travis is from), and since then we have been "go go go go go!" Travis is in the process of painting what will be Kaed's new bedroom, and hopefully we will be able to get him in there soon! We would like to have him all settled in his new room long before new baby gets here. I bought him a new mattress yesterday, a twin size, we didn't see the use of getting a toddler bed for only a year or so, so Kaed will be sleeping on the mattress directly on the floor so it won't hurt him if he falls off!
Travis has also just started digging in our back yard where he is planning on building a large shed for him to use as his workshop. We weighed the pros and cons of a garage vs. a shed, and the shed came out the winner so a building we will go! First thing Trav has to do is dig out a big patch of grass going down a couple feet and then build a retaining wall. Then he has to take out one section of our fence and then build the shop! It will be so nice to have all his tools out of our very crowded basement and into an area that he can use them in all the time!
Kaed is growing like crazy! He's getting so tall, and recently learned how to go down the stairs, after knowing how to go up them for a good 4 months! It's funny how some things they learn so fast and others take a while.
We had a great trip to Saskatchewan and got to spend some time out at Trav's parents new cabin! It's so nice to have that place to go spend the day or a night and just relax in the middle of nowhere! Trav's sister Kara, his sister Shelly and her husband John, and their friends Tyler and Jessie all met us in Herbert so that was a great bonus to a trip home.
Travis and I have recently decided to slowly but surely switch over the majority of our household items to "natural" products. Meaning no chemicals, no unnatural shampoos, no detergents, no processed foods, etc. Should be an interesting change. Does anyone out there have any suggestions on things they use or things they do to be more "natural" and "earth friendly"?
That should be all the new news for now I believe! Enjoy some pictures!

One of Kaed's favorite things about being in Saskatchewan was his Uncle John and his guitar! If Uncle John was playing the guitar Kaed was sure to be nearby!
