A bit of sewing...

I've been neglecting my housework lately to get some christmas presents done and today I put the finishing touches on a couple of things. I'm pretty proud of how they turned out, even if they are not remotely close to perfect. Hopefully my friends and family will appreciate the fact that I've just started out, and really the gifts can only get better from here on in!


A couple sneak peeks of things I've been working on. Obviously I can't show you the finished product or those of you who know you have handmade gifts coming this year may just figure out what is for them!




I'm still not sold on the fabrics I picked out for this peice, but it's a little late to change now....

I got fed up with trying to put my push pins back into the container they came in all the time, so I quickly made a horribly ugly HOT PINK heart shaped pincushion to shove them into. I figured there was no point in making it pretty when I was just going to stab it all day. Then I found this pincushion pattern at Heather Bailey. Now I feel the need to make a new one, as if I have the time!!
